Our story
Niesya Ridhania Harahap, completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Psychology, University of North Sumatra and her Masters studies at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia, Department of Social Science Psychology.
In the world of education, she has presented several scientific papers at international and national seminars such as “Temu Ilmiah Nasional Ikatan Psikologi Sosial 2024”, “International Congress of Psychology 2020”, “International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology 2020” and “International Conference of Indigenous and Cultural Psychology 2019”.
Apart from that, Niesya Ridhania Harahap has been the director and co-founder of the Batak traditional music group “Sanggar Seni Mataniari” since 2015. Currently she is leading the Indonesiana Fund assistance project for Sanggar Seni Mataniari, which documents the work of Batak Opera maestros. Together with the Suarasama and Mataniari groups, she perform as a singer and dancer who has appeared, at various events such as “Pekan Kebudayaan Nasional 2020”, “2018 Kongres Kebudayaan Indonesia” in Jakarta, “Frankfurt Book Fair” 2015 in Germany, the “Europalia” Festival in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany as well as touring in several cities in Spain. Apart from that, she has been invited several times as a speaker for discussion forums and podcasts related to Psychology, Arts and Culture.
